Our Conversation:
Q: Based on the issues your constituents care about, what bill proposal ideas do you have?
A: Affordable housing and mental health services for the homeless, providing them with housing to get them off the streets and to help them get back on their feet. [I] am really big on healthcare, so that’s why I want to focus on mental health.
Q: Would you be open to collaborating with other senators or lobbyists on bills? And if so, who?
A: Yes, I have talked to the CA Labor Union. Since I wanted to provide mental health services, I think that would provide a lot of new positions for work.
Q: Do you plan to run for any leadership positions today? If so, what?
A: Today? No. But I am hoping for a committee chair, mainly in law and health, if I can make that possible.
Q: What do you hope to achieve by the end of your term?
A: Mainly affordable healthcare, as well as housing for the homeless and mental health services.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like the people of District 39 to know?
A: I am going to do whatever it takes to pass something good for them; something to help everyone else as well.
